It is a Do or Die Situation for SEO Strategies in 2014

Search Engine Optimization has gone through a series of active changes in the past decade. What initially had started as a measure to generate back links has now become a highly organized flow of action where quality of information overrides every other consideration. Today all major search engines in form of Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc., prefer to present a complete set of information to the internet users rather than going for keyword stuffed content. The year 2013 witnessed a major change with the introduction of the Google’s Hummingbird update where the intent of the content became the area of primary focus.  However, the year 2014 appears to the year where SEO will either enter a new dimension of dynamism or will be buried under the tag of spam.  The question in such regard is how will one preserve the essence of SEO such that it continues to deliver the goods to businesses.

Emphasize on “Organic” reach

By now it should be clear that modern day SEO is not about artificial link building. Organic reach plays a vital role in determining the search engine rank for a website. If your website is amongst one of the most visited in your niche, then it is obvious that you are more popular and well known. A common mistake that most of ‘rookie’ SEO managers do is try and build up a false network whereby they try to generate back links and increase public interactions. This phenomenon is an absolute lethal for modern day search engine optimization as it restricts the original reach and disturbs the actual output.  Sticking to the traditional organic reach allows a business to adapt better optimization techniques in order to increase consumer interactions through quality and informative content.  Irrespective of SEO or SMM always ensure that traffic is generated through generic means only. If interactions are not working well, try and connect to companies with a bigger audience base.
